Stack has been engaged to build the Box Office - an 11,000 sf Office Building made entirely of used Shipping
Containers - in Providence’s Olneyville neighborhood. The thirty five 40’ High Cube Shipping Containers
that will create the building’s structure represent over 150 tons of recycled material, though that is just the
start of what makes the Box Office “green”. Sustainable features include superior energy efficiency from a
high performance building envelope and ultra-efficient HVAC systems, energy recovery ventilation to
ensure Indoor Air Quality, a site design that dramatically reduces stormwater runoff; daylight sensing
light fixtures, and more.
In addition to serving as Construction Manager at Risk for this project, Stack has also participated in a
comprehensive Integrated Design process that has leveraged a building design optimized for aesthetics,
energy efficiency, and cost.
